Arjun Rampal’s film ‘Daddy’ gets a new release date! – The handsome hunk of Bollywood industry and model Arjun Rampal will be next seen in a role of most famous gangster-turned-politician Arun Gulab Gawali. The upcoming film of the year which has been titled as “Daddy”, is directed and co-written by Ashim Ahluwalia. A political drama film also features Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar and the South Indian actress Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead role opposite to Arjun Rampal.
The storyline of Daddy revolves around the life journey of Mumbai’s mafia don Arun Gawali, a man who scripted his own destiny, attempts to enter politics and eventually went on to become one of the most feared mobsters of India. And now he remains an enigmatic figure, at once he known to be a volatile, and powerful-hungry gangster for some people, while on the other hand, named as ‘Daddy’ or a modern day Robin Hood for all those working-class neighborhood he belongs to.
An unfolding jigsaw puzzle, narrated from several perspectives and spanning over four decades, the film is said to be an insight into the Mumbai underworld. Arjun Rampal portrays the titular role in the movie and in order to adorn gangster avatar, he flaunts long tresses, a beard, and an intense look.
The recently released teaser and trailer of Daddy which has clocked over 10 million views have left everyone in awe of the actor because he has transformed brilliantly into the main character on-screen.
Now, the latest buzz has reported that the release date of Ashim Ahluwalia’s forthcoming directorial venture has been changed. Earlier it was supposed to be release on 21st of July, 2017. Geeta Gawali, a daughter of Arun Gawali makes a special request to the producers of the film to get the release date changed.
In an unprecedented move, the makers of Arjun Rampal’s Daddy have been now shifted the release date to 8th of September, 2017. The film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and announced this big news.
