‘Hindi Medium’ Movie Review
The movie was written and directed by Saket Chaudhry tells the bitter truth of the society of which we all are almost aware of because of most of the middle family have to go through it. The society which not only takes ENGLISH as a language but also as knowledge because of which many people who are unable to speak so are called uneducated or illiterate.
We all know that mother tongue of us is Hindi but due to this Hindi lost its respect in the society. As this movie tells about the struggle of a family where the parents want their only child to get admitted to the good school but she fails because of her undeveloped skills so the story started juggling the parents just for the sake of their daughter admission in good school.

‘Hindi Medium’ Story
HINDI MEDIUM is an eye-opening, dramatic and sweet romantic story (written by Zeenat Lakhani, Saket Chaudhary) about a couple who eagerly want to move into English-speaking society (where they are well aware of upcoming problems) for their daughter’s sake. The movie starts with the introduction of the Batra family which is nuclear where the head of the family is a boutique owner Raj Batra (Irrfan Khan), who uses a different strategy to keep his customers happy telling them they are not less than Kareena Kapoor. Besides the head there’s his wife Mita Batra also named as ‘Honey’ (Saba Qamar) she is the lady with the strong will to raise her daughter in a high-class environment so she wanted her only child Pia Batra (Dishita Sehgal) to get admission in the one of best of English schools in Delhi. Batra has only one dream at that time to get her daughter to get admitted in the best school in Delhi for which the read magazine’s survey to find out top schools and moved further for admission process for her daughter Pia. As because of lack of skills Pia got rejected from many schools so Batra’s enroll themselves in one of a counseling center, where the people’s take care of many stuff for the admission process and teach the student how to crack interviews and also take care of your attire and grooming as well.
After all these hardship and efforts Pia stills fails to get admitted in Delhi’s top schools, So now they were not left with many options so they thought to get Pia admitted on basis of ‘gareeb quota’. So to fake their attire and personality but in this role play they met their selfless neighbor Shyam Prakash (Deepak Dobriyal) the man who is a living example of ‘love your neighbor as you love yourself’. The met and tell each other about their situation so their bond becomes even stronger when the Batra gets to know that even Shyam Prakash has applied in the gareeb quota in the same school for his son as their daughter.
The rest of movie is about the juggling of the families due to the lack of seniority in the society because of which the young ones have to suffer.
As it is a good movie with the superb acting and classy screenplay one should watch it.
