Salman Khan wants to remake Mohanlal’s film “Pulimurugan” – South Indian Megastar Mohanlal gave back to back blockbuster movies last year with Janatha Garage, Oppam and Pulimurugan. He was also honored with the Special Jury Award at the 64th National Award for Janatha Garage and Pulimurugan.
Recently Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan has expressed his wish to watch the film. While promoting his upcoming film Tubelight in Dubai, Salman said he wants to watch Pulimurugan.
Salman Khan speaking about the film said “I have acted in two Malayalam remakes-Bodyguard and Kyon Ki. Now I am going to watch Pulimurugan.”
Made on a budget of Rs 25 crore, Pulimurugan tells the story of a man-animal conflict with Mohanlal playing the role of a hunter named Murugan. The Mohanlal-starrer became the first Malayalam film to rake in Rs 100 crore at the box office.
Mohanlal, who was last seen in the war film 1971: Beyond Borders, is awaiting the release of his next titled Villain. The film also stars Vishal, Manju Warrier, Hansika Motwani, Srikanth, Raashi Khanna, Renji Panicker and Siddique in pivotal roles.
Salman Khan is currently working on Tiger Zinda Hai alongside Katrina Kaif and will also be working on a project with Akshay Kumar. Tubelight, also starring Chinese actor Zhu Zhu, will hit the big screens on June 23. This film will also have a cameo by Shah Rukh Khan. The Radio Song, was released on Tuesday and was received well by the audience. Especially, Salman Khan’s role of an innocent man looks fascinating already. Fans are looking forward to the other songs, and are eagerly waiting for the trailer, which will release on May 24. The film is based on the Indo-Sino war, and Kabir Khan confessed that this was also inspired by American film Little Boy.
